Note to self...Re. Irish dancing class 21/02/12

Haven't blogged for 2 weeks and missed 2 classes due to Marnie, Jessie, Joseph and Paul contagious with sickness bug/flu/vile sinus infections etc/half term....so was looking forward very much to last night's class, and it didn't disappoint!

Walls of Limerick ( actually remembered it from previous weeks)

8 Handed reel...just got to grips by the end of it.

Mark joined us...told us he hasn't danced for 20 years, he's retraining and wants to take the difficult exam with Roisin to become a verified dance teacher. Thought he did rather well considering...good posture/crossed feet etc. I was blummin' puffed out , but at least no stiff legs today.

Note to self...Re. irish dancing class 07/02/12

Hard but enjoyable class. Started with the unfortunately named 'Sink/Rise and grind' warm up...nothing like 'bump and grind'!

Harvest time jig.

High Cauled Cap...which involved a movement of a theatrical foot stomp and double hand-clap.

A good workout...excellent teaching as usual. Lorna in my group...really knew what she was doing. Marnie and Niamh joined in too. No stiff legs today!

Note to self...Re. Irish dancing class 31/1/12

Full class, but shame Mary S couldn't make it. Missed her wise-cracks!

Good warm up...thought about posture more/feet out/up on my toes.

4 hand reel...I think we were all much better than last week, each section more clearly structured. Got to grips with the 'square'.

Legs fine today (-:

Homer Simpson glue lookalike...look what it fetched on eBay!!

Winning bid: £152,200.00 ( 85 bids )Doh!

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230735138614

In his listing, Mr Herbert describes the peculiar item as the 'missing piece' in any Simpsons fan's collection and states its origins as "made naturally by an overflowing tube of Uhu glue!"

The 36-year-old Londoner, said: "I've never actually sold anything on it [eBay] before, so I thought I'd just stick it on for a bit of a joke to be honest. I didn't think anyone would actually bid for an old bit of dried glue, even one that looks like Homer Simpson!

Anyone know if the final bid was honoured?!
